Nurse Practitioners

Nurse Jean Matchan (f)

Nurse Jean Matchan is a Nurse Practitioner who has been with the Practice for over ten years. Nurse Matchan is part of our consulting team and patients can request to receive help from her.

All of our Practice nurses are qualified and registered with appropriate nursing bodies. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears. If you contact the practice to speak to one of our GPS wither by phone or askmyGP, you may be called back by one of our practice nurses if the GP feels that is appropriate.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
